- 1 beef stock cube
- 2 slices white bread, crusts removed, soaked in milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 2 tbsp double cream, optional
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Handful bay leaves
