Ingredients
For the crust
- 1½ cup flour
- 1/3 cup icing / powdered sugar
- ½ cup cold butter cubed
- 1 egg yolk
- 1-2 tbsp ice water
For the filling
- 2 cup milk
- ½ cup heavy / whipping cream
- 5 egg yolks
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2½ tbsp cornstarch / cornflour
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp salted butter (alternatively use unsalted butter and 1/2 tsp salt)
- ½ tsp almond extract
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of nutmeg
- 2 tsp cinnamon
