- 2 cups (280g) sellf-raising flour 2 cups
- 1 cup Greek yoghurt
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 – 2 cups sunflower oil for frying
Syrup
- 1 cup (225g) white sugar 1 cup
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon cream of tartar
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon or 1 cinnamon stick
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger optional
