Rihanna visits Malawi with her BFF former Australian PM Julia Gillard

While Rihanna has readily shown us she has a beautiful voice, she has not been shy either of showing us the flaming spirit of humanity burning violently in her heart. Such philanthropic flames have burnt any reluctance on her part to step outside her continent to mold an African lip into a smile with her kindness.

This time Rihanna teams up with her jolly friend former Prime Minister of Australia, Julia Gillard on a mission to Malawi to improve the educational infrastructure and get more kids in school. Julia on her side is finding a new burst of life outside the political terrains of leading Australia. She has successfully graduated from the office of the Australian PM into the office of humanity going on a number of philanthropic overtures in Africa. Enjoying a nice pop-politics fusion with the enigmatic Rihanna.

Last year, their names emblazoned the news when they stormed the Global Citizen Festival taking off time from all celebrity protocols to give the dance floors a memorable trumping. Even going as far as merging names into #Gillianna visiting Malawi on the platform of the Global Citizen education.

Here again, Rihanna and her cohorts stormed Malawi. This time Rihanna’s army was as robust with the sophisticated presence of Hugh Evans, CEO of Global Citizen, a world acclaimed humanitarian. Together they unleashed their kindness on the kids in Malawi bringing the global spotlight on the need to get Malawi youths more in tone with adequate education.

Some months back in January, this three fellas spent time constructively with senior educators and major government functionaries in Malawi working out a better educated future for the Malawian posterity. Back then Rihanna flanked by Gillard reasserted their mutual enthusiasm to “see first-hand” the structural hurdles Malawians have to jump through to get better education. In a video of their last outing in January, the three seem immersed in good works as they contributed their educative addition in classrooms where the number of students seemed to overwhelm the paucity of teachers.

“We’re here really to get a sense of the dimensions of change and what more needs to be done, and we know these challenges are profound,” Gillard said in the video.

This move from Rihanna and her pals is aimed at bringing accessible education to children in over 60 developing countries. Preferential treatment is given to girls in this program as well as those from nations scarred by wars. The initiative is also aimed at spurring world leaders into action enabling the Global Partnership for education to resourcefully climb up financially to its $3.1 billion target between 2018 and 2020. Such stipulated budget would make quality education readily available to more than 870 million children in 89 countries between the indicted time span.
