Join us for the 2024 US-AFRICA MAYOR’S SUMMIT, slated to take place jointly in the Cities of Richmond, Manassas and in Washington DC on OCTOBER 23-25, 2024.
This event is held during the United Nations Urban Month, during which the UN-Habitat and partners organize a month full of activities, events and discussions on urban sustainability providing a chance to municipal leaders and the civil society around the world to join the conversation around the challenges and opportunities created by the fast pace of change in our cities and towns. Actually, in this rapidily changing political, economic and security global landscap, a visionary leadership that promotes and foster a win-win partnership is key for global security, peace and developement. Therefore, setting up initiatives that facilitate networking, exchange of experience and know-how is one of the major keys for such engagement.
Under the theme of ” Building Trans-Atlantic Partnerships to Advance Innovation in Our Cities “, the 2024 event aims to inspire, engage and empower US and African mayors and county executives to start working together to tackle pressing challenges and serve as a gateway for inclusive economic growth while laying the foundation for partnerships that will enhance cultural and mutual understanding, enhance diplomacy, advance democracy, peace, global security and climate change. The US -Africa Mayors Summit .
The US-Africa Mayors’ Summit bring together US and African mayors , municipal and county managers, private sector executives, the African diaspora in the US, and academics to discuss to engage in high level dialogue on pertinent issues, including municipal good governance, partnership for innovation, poverty eradication, inclusive economic growth and job creation, climate change, and others. Such initiative will definitively help to advance the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Refund Policy.
Cancellation made by VAP. We will offer you a full refund of the fees payed for registration to the event. Up to 100% VAP will then absorb all the transfer fees charged by the third party.
We request that your cancellation be done at least 1 month before the event. You may cancel by sending us an email at [email protected].
Cancellations made 30 days or more in advance of the event date for failure of obtaining the visa will receive an 90% refund.
If Cancellations is made within 30 days after obtaining the visa no refund will be given.
