What are points and how do I earn them?

When you become an African Vibes Insider Member, you also are eligible to participate in our rewards program. Our Insiders get rewarded for the actions that they takeon the platform that grows the platform, as well as for the positive response they get based on the actions they take.

Why is there a points system?

The African proverb that says “If you want to fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together”, captures the motivation behind our rewards system. We want to go far and create a platform that will not only connect people but also create a space where those connections can create impactful collaborations. We believe this should be shaped and directed by the community and so we wanted to create a mechanism where we can acknowledge and reward the contributions of our members.

Are there different types of points?

The platform has two main points types for Insiders. Booster points which you earn from your activity AND Star points which you earn from how others respond to your activities on the platform.

What is the fastest way to get more points

The more you engage on the platform, the more points you earn. Insiders who decide to go a step further and become Patrons, get a bigger point boost for their patronage. You can learn more about becoming a Patron here.

How do the rewards work

The African Vibes Insider platform has its own currency called the Ubora Coin. Accumulated points can be converted to the Ubora Coin. As rewards become available, the community will be notified and they can use their coins to redeem them.
