Job Description This is a key leadership role within our Africa and Middle East Business. As part of the Africa leadership team this colleague is accountable for transforming the Africa and Middle East Services HR and Payroll operations in line with global guidelines and Sage VSGM’s. This role will look after the HR and Payroll Centre of Excellence consisting of Sage 300 People, Sage Payroll Professional and any additional HR and Payroll workstreams. The role will be responsible for a 45% billable utilisation of the resources.
Key Responsibilities • To develop a clear HR and Payroll CoE strategy, which is fully aligned to our global strategy and drives our customer for life philosophy.
• To build a strong HR and Payroll CoE team who will effectively deliver on the strategy and utilising both colleagues and cross-functional teams to drive a high performing culture.
• To drive and manage CoE key pillars on expert services, support escalations, advanced enablement, shared resources, application best practice and presales support in complex needs.
• To have a strong understanding of the external market environment. To fully understand our customers, their challenges and how our solutions can benefit them.
• Full ownership of the CoE HR and Payroll region.
• Drive revenue and achievement of CoE targets for the AME through the Principal consultants.
• To actively contribute to the CoE team, adding valuable support and challenge, whilst driving inter-sub functional collaboration and partnership.
• To be a Transformational Leader, to effectively lead your people through change, inspiring and motivating them whilst not compromising on results.
• To ensure that the CoE function follows a One Sage approach at all times.
• To be a role model for your peers and your colleagues. To bring to life the Sage Values and Leadership behaviours in every aspect of your role.

Skills, know-how and experience:

Must have:
• At least 10 years HR and Payroll experience
• At least 5 years leadership experience
• Sage 300 People solid experience (other Sage products will be advantageous)
• Strong Commercial acumen with a thorough understanding of strategy and how to translate strategy into operational plans, execution and demonstrated results
• Proven stakeholder management capability, with the ability to manage and influence diverse stakeholders including internal, business partners and customers.
• Great communicator who can build strong relationships with stakeholders in AME and Globally, both internally and externally.
• Ability to think strategically, and positively influence business direction.
• Proven ability to build a high-performing teams and reaching of targets.
• Deep understanding of Customer and Partner Success
• Strong Customer focus and high level of customer service ethics with first-hand experience in dealing with customers

Preferred:
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential. With at least 3-5 years operating at leader level covering Africa and Middle East regions.
• Africa and Middle East Sales or/and consulting management or/and HR
