“Christianity is destroying Africa.” Do you Agree?

With the death of the popular Nigerian gospel artist Osinachi Nwachukwu through domestic violence by her husband Pastor Peter Nwachukwu, social media is in an uproar on the role of the church. Some say the church discriminates against divorced Christians which causes them to remain in abusive marriages and lead to their death. Meanwhile others say Christianity is destroying Africa. Do you Agree?

It is a sad story and has caused uproar on the social platform. The church in Africa nevertheless has to properly train and teach it’s worshippers on domestic violence amongst other Christian ethics.

  Sad indeed sir. But should the church be looking at how they have failed? Did they fail to train their Christians? or is it the messages they preach?

  Training for sure. The church has abused trust in so many ways. Churches in Africa need to be regulated. These days there are so many prophets and ‘man of God’. I reckon God himself is fed up with the lot of them.

I don’t agree that Christianity is causing divorces… She choose her path. She would have been wiser to seek for counsel however we cannot judge her but learn

  Great response sir. But how sure are we that the church did not create an atmosphere for her to open up to seek counsel?
