It’s a wrap and the winners of the MTV Africa Music Awards have finally been announced. Leading the night were Nigerian artists once again who nabbed awards in 5 of the 10 categories. Leading them was Tuface who took home 2 of the awards for Artist of the Year and Best Male Artist. DRC crooner Fally Ipupa also had a big night with 2 awards Best Video and Best Francophone Artist. Miriam Makeba was honored as the MAMA Legend.

On Saturday December 11th, the winners for the 2010 MTV Africa Music Awards with Zain will be revealed at the Eko Expo Center in Lagos, Nigeria. This year, Nigerian artists lead the pack with 13 nominations. Also, DRC’s Fally Ipupa, racked the most individual nominations. The 2010 Hip Hop World Awards (HHWA) took place at the New Expo hall at EKo Hotels and Suites on May 29th 2010. Man of the night was Artist Wande Coal who received the Artist of the Year and Hip Hop Revelation of the Year Awards. He also received the Album of the Year and Best RnB/Pop Album for his Mushin to Mo’Hits Album.
